Deutsche Telekom in Romania

Deutsche Telekom is present in Romania through Romtelecom, thanks to its role as a shareholder in the Hellenic Telecommunications Organization (OTE), the largest telecommunications provider in the Greek market. With over 80 years' expertise in the Romanian telecommunications market, Romtelecom offers reliable, innovative and easy-to-use services including traditional fixed telephony, broadband Internet, TV services (satellite, IPTV and cable), personalised packages, entertainment services and complex business ICT solutions. COSMOTE Romania, which is part of the DT-owned COSMOTE Group, launched commercial operations in December 2005 with the aim of making mobile telephony accessible to all. Since 2002, another member of the Deutsche Telekom Group, Combridge, has also been offering ICT services on the Romanian market.
