- Bill of exchange

Debt instrument that can be drawn independent of any specific obligation. With a draft, the bill drawer instructs the bill debtor to pay to the bill payee recorded in the instrument a certain amount of money on a particular day and at a specified place. The drawer is responsible for ensuring that the contract is fulfilled.
