Sari Baldauf new member of the Supervisory Board of Deutsche Telekom

Sari Baldauf joins the Supervisory Board of Deutsche Telekom AG. The Bonn District Court has appointed Ms. Baldauf to the Supervisory Board effective November 1, 2012 until the 2013 shareholders' meeting, where Ms. Baldauf is to be nominated for election. Hans-Martin Bury resigned from the Supervisory Board of Deutsche Telekom AG as of midnight on October 31, 2012. Sari Baldauf, who was born in Finland in 1955, held a range of positions with the Nokia telecommunications group between 1983 and 2005. From 1994 to 2005 she was a member of the company's Executive Board. Ms. Baldauf holds honorary doctorates from the Helsinki University of Technology and the Turku School of Economics and Business Administration. She currently sits on the supervisory boards of Daimler AG and chemical conglomerate Akzo Nobel NV, and is Chairwoman of the Board of utility Fortum Oyj and Chairwoman of the Executive Committee of software manufacturer F-Secure Oyj. The Board of Management and the Supervisory Board of Deutsche Telekom AG thank Hans-Martin Bury for his valuable contribution as a Supervisory Board member.
