Mr. Hinrichs, as one pioneer of what we now call the start-up scene, is a valuable addition with respect to the areas “innovation” and “partnerships with the Internet industry”. Mr. Streibich will yield his acknowledged expertise in the IT industry into the work of the Supervisory Board and has deep knowledge of Telekom’s environment. I thank both gentlemen for their willingness to accept such a responsible duty and look forward to our collaboration”, says Ulrich Lehner, chairman of the Supervisory Board of Deutsche Telekom AG. In 2003, he founded the business network XING, led it as CEO until 2009 when he switched to the Supervisory Board until he sold his share to Burda Digital. He successfully executed XING’s IPO as the first Web 2.0 company ever. XING is listed in TecDax by now. Lars Hinrichs is a Young Global Leader (YGL) at the World Economic Forum, and he is, by his appointment, one of the youngest Supervisory Board members of DAX30 companies. Karl-Heinz Streibich, born 1952, is CEO of Software AG since 2003. He has long lasting experience in the information and communication technology (ICT) industry and a diploma in communications engineering. During the course of his career, Karl-Heinz Streibich held many leading positions in the ICT industry. Amongst others, he has been head of marketing operations of ITT Europe in Great Britain, chairman of the management board of debis Systemhaus GmbH as well as deputy chairman of the management board of T-Systems GmbH, where he was responsible for the merger of debis Systemhaus GmbH und Deutsche Telekom IT.
