Feb 25, 2014

  • Sales kick-off in 13 countries
  • Available in Germany starting in April

Deutsche Telekom is bringing the Samsung Galaxy S5 to Europe. The device will be available in 13 countries from the beginning of April, including Germany, Austria, the Netherlands, Poland, the Czech Republic, Croatia, Greece, Hungary, Macedonia, Montenegro, Romania, Slovakia and Albania.

With its high-definition 5.1-inch display, its high-capacity 2.5 gigahertz processor and its integrated “Security” and “Health” services, the terminal is setting cutting-edge standards. It is also equipped with LTE+, which makes it able to receive data at a speed of up to 150 megabits per second. In addition to the S5, DT is adding Samsung’s new tablet “Tab 4” to its portfolio in certain countries.

Samsung is not just connected to Deutsche Telekom by a business partnership, but also by longstanding collaboration in sales, marketing and product development. Among other things, this includes the joint development of the LTE network standard, especially in the areas of VoLTE and LTE+. Another common project is the implementation of “Mobile Operator Billing” for easy and secure payment transactions via mobile phone bills.
