Deutsche Telekom announces winners of the second International Business Wall of Fame contest

  • Over 200 developer applications received; more than 42,000 business customers voted for the most innovative Internet of Things solutions across eight local markets
  • Hungarian Accessium Kft with its e-Access solution wins Best International Internet of Things (IoT) Solution award: official endorsement as Deutsche Telekom partner in Europe
  • Eight national champions and their best supporters win countrywide marketing campaigns

Deutsche Telekom proudly announces the winners of its second international Business Wall of Fame contest. Accessium Kft, based in Hungary, with its e-Access solution will be awarded “Best International Internet of Things Solution”, simplifying the work of business customers. The award entails the promotion of Accessium’s solution in DT’s European footprint reaching up to 10.8 million business customers, as well as the endorsement as a Deutsche Telekom partner during an upcoming international industry fair. Eight additional national IoT champions and their best supporters were selected by the participating countries to receive countrywide marketing campaigns for their solutions.

e-Access is a cloud-based IoT access control system for office buildings. It provides businesses with high levels of security, prevents theft and is very easy to install. The solution allows an unlimited number of unified and interconnected locations to interact and is extremely flexible to handle. Thanks to its embedded IoT capabilities, it can be operated remotely from anywhere. The e-Access concept is not only applicable for the classic building environment but also to vehicles such as trucks, remote areas like farms or even to places where a wired telecommunication infrastructure is not available at all.

"We created e-Access because we saw the need for small and medium businesses to protect their premises against unlawful entry and theft. It is a very cost effective solution and extremely easy to set up and operate. As an added benefit, the consumption of e-Access is so minimal that it is possible to operate the system exclusively via solar power," explains Peter Berende, CEO of Accessium Kft.

"We are tremendously happy that our second annual Business Wall of Fame contest has again highlighted numerous excellent and innovative solutions helping our business customer base. Accessium, along with our national winners, are perfect examples of how our ‘Win with Partners’ strategy delivers when it comes to spurring on innovation within the industry," says Elias Drakopoulos, Senior VP, Business Excellence at Deutsche Telekom.

The Business Wall of Fame contest is Deutsche Telekom’s second multinational business campaign aimed at finding innovative IoT solutions that simplify work for business customers. The international campaign started in April and ran in eight countries: Austria, Croatia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Macedonia, Romania and Slovakia. In total, over 200 IoT developers applied for contest and a great number of solutions submitted to the international and local competitions came from the areas of intelligent buildings, the public sector / smart cities, as well as transport & logistics. More than 42,000 business customers voted their favorite solutions and helped Deutsche Telekom’s expert juries to choose the best international IoT solution, as well as the best national IoT solutions and their best supporters from the eight participating countries.
