First Cyber Summit on two continents

The fourth Cyber Security Summit will be hosted by the Munich Security Conference and Deutsche Telekom in Silicon Valley. On September 19 and 20, 2016, around 100 senior representatives from science, politics, business and the military will meet at Stanford University in Palo Alto, California, to debate current challenges in cyberspace. At the same time on September 20 high-ranking experts meet in Berlin for the 1. Berlin Security Day.
The US-event will be streamed on the website www.cybersecuritysummit.de. Sessions from Berlin will be streamed via Facebook live and Periscope. Follow both events via the hashtag #CSS16.

Are our societies prepared for large-scale cyberattacks on critical infrastructures? How can countries establish joint norms and rules for cyber space? Which steps are necessary in order to stop the digital advance of the ‘Islamic State’ and other terrorist groups? These and further questions will be discussed in Palo Alto.
