Good news for all football fans, just in time for the 2013/14 football Bundesliga season, as Deutsche Telekom will for the first time feed in the program packages of Sky Deutschland for its Entertain IPTV customers. Both companies have agreed on this as part of an extensive cooperation. From mid 2013, in addition to live Bundesliga, Entertain customers will have access to the depth and breadth of Sky’s comprehensive and exclusive offering, including the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, DFB-Pokal, Golf and Tennis majors, via Sky. Entertain customers can choose from the full range of Sky packages, including: Sky Welt, Sky Fußball Bundesliga, Sky Sport and Sky Film, as well as the extensive Sky HD line-up. The agreement, which will run until mid 2017, will be rounded out by numerous joint marketing activities. Telekom’s mobile customers, who have been following the Bundesliga live via the Mobile TV offerings of Telekom, and who could watch the roundups of the matches afterwards, will be particularly pleased. A corresponding offering will also be continued in future together with Sky. "Our cooperation is good news for everyone whose heart beats a little faster for football. As Sky’s partner we can offer our Entertain IPTV customers the most extensive football program in Germany, and everything will be available in HD," said Michael Hagspihl, Managing Director Marketing, Telekom Deutschland GmbH. Brian Sullivan, CEO of Sky Deutschland: "This partnership is great news for football and entertainment fans all across Germany. The agreement ensures those already watching the Bundesliga on the Telekom Entertain platform can continue to do so uninterrupted, and will also open up the full range of Sky’s award-winning sport coverage, including all live matches of the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League and the DFB-Pokal . In addition, with the introduction of the complete Sky offering Entertain customers will be able to experience Sky’s market leading Sky Film, Sky Welt and Sky HD offerings for the first time. Entry into Sky’s entertainment world will be easier and more convenient than ever before." The following will apply for existing LIGA total! customers: After the end of this season until the end of the season 2013/14, existing LIGA total! customers will be able to receive Bundesliga live according to the previously applicable conditions, including interactive features such as the personal conference, without the need to conclude a new contract, as they will be automatically activated for Sky Fußball Bundesliga. From the start of the 2014/15 season these customers will need to conclude a standard Sky contract. As of mid 2013 all Entertain customers will be able to subscribe to all Sky packages at Sky’s current prices and packaging at that time. In addition to Sky Fußball Bundesliga and Sky Sport, the portfolio will also include Sky Welt, Sky Film and Sky’s HD package. All film and HD fans will thus get their full money’s worth.
