  • Deutsche Telekom announces cooperation with Path social network
  • Telekom customers receive Path Premium one year free of charge
  • Integration with Telekom cloud services

Deutsche Telekom and social network Path have formed a strategic partnership. Deutsche Telekom customers can use the premium version of Path for one year free of charge. "Deutsche Telekom counts on partnerships to promote innovation," says Michael Hagspihl, Managing Director for Marketing at Telekom Deutschland GmbH. "Our goal is to make it as easy as possible for our customers to use innovative services like Path. This strategic partnership demonstrates how two companies can consolidate their strengths for the benefit of their customers." In contrast to other social networks, Path puts privacy first. "We are thrilled to be able to introduce our Path app to Deutsche Telekom's customers as part of our partnership," says Dave Morin, CEO at Path. "Path's numbers in the European market are increasing steadily and we are very pleased that Deutsche Telekom customers will get exclusive, free access to our new premium service." All chats and shared content on Path are only visible to friends. No one else has access to users' personal profiles. The network is ad-free. Path also makes it possible to connect other social networks, so all social media moments can be managed from a single app. Path Premium free of charge for 12 months Deutsche Telekom exclusively offers Path Premium membership in Europe. Premium membership normally costs EUR 13.99 per year, but the first twelve months are free of charge for all fixed-network and mobile customers of Telekom Deutschland GmbH. Path Premium contains a number of camera lenses to spruce up your photos, along with sticker packages to give posts and messages a personal note. Deutsche Telekom customers can register with Path using their T-Online mail addresses, which connects them to Telekom's cloud services automatically. In future, for example, pictures saved in the Media Center can be posted at Path, while pictures from Path will also be saved directly in the Media Center. Outside of Germany, the app points surfers to the Travel & Surf rate package. This attractive offer lets users share private moments from their vacations with family and friends easily and inexpensively. Deutsche Telekom and Path plan to enhance their partnership with additional features in future, to further improve the Path social network experience for Telekom customers.
