LTE+: Network turbo with up to 150 Mbit/s

  • Available immediately in over 100 towns and cities
  • More speed free of charge: from 100 to 150, from 50 to 100 Mbit/s
  • First devices available in September.

Speeds of up to 150 Mbit/s are now possible in the Deutsche Telekom network with LTE+. The new technology is due to go live immediately in all towns and urban centers which have had access to a 100 Mbit/s service to date. This will make LTE+ plus directly available in well over 100 towns and cities. The number will almost double by the end of the year. As of October 1, Deutsche Telekom is adjusting its current rates portfolio to LTE+. The changeover will benefit subscribers whose current rates and options cover up to 100 Mbit/s, a speed that will be raised automatically to 150 Mbit/s at no extra charge. Users who previously surfed the Net with a download rate of max. 50 Mbit/s will soon be able to use double that speed, up to a maximum of 100 Mbit/s. There will be no extra charges, since the current prices continue to apply. To mark the start of IFA in Berlin (September 6 - 11), Mobile Data XL will be the first data rate to support download speeds of 150 Mbit/s. Samsung will be offering an upgrade of its Galaxy S4 with LTE+. Comparable devices from other vendors will follow at the end of September. Deutsche Telekom's latest data products, including Speedstick LTE III, Speedbox LTE II and Speedbox LTE mini, will also support LTE+ in September, following a software update. Visit Deutsche Telekom's stand in hall 6.2 at the IFA trade show in Berlin from September 6-11 for a live experience of our products and services.
