- Full outsourcing for greater flexibility
- Cloud and global network coverage support the Swedish company's growth
For its global growth, the Swedish real estate management company Akelius relies on flexible cloud services from T-Systems. As the company is currently growing strongly in North America, Akelius is following a completely new route and decided on full outsourcing to the Telekom Cloud. T-Systems will standardize the entire information and communication technology and make it flexible through migration and transformation.
Based on the Telekom global network, Akelius will also obtain all the IT workstations for its growing number of employees, currently approx. 600, from the cloud (Dynamic Workplace) in the future. This also includes the service desk and hardware support. "Speed, i.e., time to market, was a decisive factor for switching our communication infrastructure to the cloud," explained Andreas Wallén, CIO of Akelius. "T-Systems' services also provide the required flexibility for our business in Europe and North America."
Akelius' core business is high-quality real estate, predominantly in large cities such as Berlin, London, Paris, Stockholm, New York, or Toronto. Akelius now obtains all its information and communication services from T-Systems rather than from several providers (as was previously the case). The Microsoft Azure platform, which is also a component of the cloud solution for Akelius in order to be able to cost-effectively supply Dynamic Workplace and other services in Europe and North America, optimally supports T-Systems' global deliverability. It therefore substantiates the strategy of Deutsche Telekom's business customer arm, which involves setting up a comprehensive ecosystem of cloud partners. "We orchestrate various cloud combinations and will thus be able to provide Akelius with the desired service from a single source and with the highest possible level of fail-safety in Canada and the USA," said Dr. Ferri Abolhassan, Managing Director of T-Systems and head of the IT Division.
The Deutsche Telekom Cloud: simple, secure, and affordable
Deutsche Telekom expanded the existing partnership with Microsoft as recently as in November and will act as data trustee for various Microsoft solutions. Detailed scenarios will be presented by T-Systems at the upcoming CeBIT from March 14-18.
