T-Systems named as a leader in cloud service in Gartner Magic Quadrant

  • T-Systems recognized sixth time in a row
  • 17 service providers for DCO and IUS services across Europe evaluated
  • $ 18 billion annual revenue in Europe delivered

In the 27 June 2016 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Data Center Outsourcing (DCO) and Infrastructure Utility Services (IUS), T-Systems is positioned in the Leaders quadrant for Europe, for the sixth time in row. Gartner evaluated against the two strategic axes `completeness of vision´ and `ability to execute´. Gartner states that Future growth in data center services will come from new industrialized infrastructure offerings such as IUS and infrastructure as a service (IaaS), while growth and margins for traditional services will face further pressure (for more details, see "Top Global Megatrends Impacting Data Center Strategies").

"The cloud world isn't homogeneous, it will always be hybrid. Therefore, we combine strong proprietary products, such as our new public cloud, with best-of-breed partner technology to provide our customers with tailored solutions for their business needs from one single source," said Anette Bronder, Managing Director of T-Systems, who as head of the Digital Division is responsible for the cloud business. Telekom's growing partner ecosystem includes solutions from SAP, Microsoft, Cisco, Salesforce, VMWare, Huawei, SugarCRM and Informatica, and others.

“Quality and security are key criteria for customers when selecting a cloud provider. IT infrastructure has to work under all circumstances. Only successful IT operations give room for innovation. Thus quality and security become the enablers for digitization,” said Dr. Ferri Abolhassan, Director of T-Systems responsible for IT Division and Telekom Security. “Since the launch of the Zero Outage Program for quality assurance five years ago we have reduced the number of serious faults by 95 percent”, explained initiator Abolhassan. T-Systems ranked among the top ten percent of all ICT service providers for the third year in a row in terms of customer satisfaction (based on the Tri*M index). Trust is particularly important when it comes to the migration of traditional IT services to the cloud.
