As a Network Architect (f/m/d), you will design and optimize the architecture and technologies of fixed network and mobile network cores, as well as core services such as AAA, IMS, DNS for B2C and B2B usage.

An overview of your responsibilities includes:

• Working on new concepts for future core networks and defining their interfaces
• Analyzing issues in existing solutions and developing proposed solutions (typically within cross-segment teams with an international composition)
• Supporting projects from solution design to launch
• Maintaining architectural documentation
• Leading subprojects

You are characterized by the following knowledge and skills:

• Solid knowledge of the 5G system, particularly the Core and the 5G SBA, is required.
• Proficiency in tools for developing, validating, and distributing network functions and components.
• A good overview of telecommunications relevant architectures, concepts, and technologies discussed and specified in the standardization organizations and alliances such as 3GPP, GSMA, BBF, IETF, IEEE, NGMN, ONAP, CAMARA.
• Knowledge of automation and orchestration of cellular and broadband networks is advantageous.
• Proficiency in relevant network protocols (IP, TCP, QUIC, HTTP), virtualization solutions, ML/AI methods, CAMPUS networks, fixed access architectures, as well as experience in setting up and operating testbeds, is desirable.
• Practical skills in programming and scripting languages, as well as in reading and understanding specifications, are advantageous.
