Visitors at "women&work", the biggest careers fair for women, were full of praise for the Telekom Careers trade fair appearance and named Telekom the most attractive employer. Thank you for choosing us! Visitors at the trade fair were particularly impressed by the personal consultations and the wide range of exciting jobs that our Careers Team brought with them. There were jobs for cloud experts, security specialists, project managers and customer advisors to name a few examples.

"For us, the prize is a real incentive to keep focusing on promoting women", says Frank Staffler, head of personnel marketing. "We believe that mixed gender teams simply work more effectively. Diversity is an important part of our corporate culture." At Telekom, the prospects of a job with great career opportunities are better than ever before for women MINT experts – i.e. graduates and professionals from the fields of mathematics, IT, natural sciences and technology. The company is looking for talented individuals to help turn the vision of autonomous driving into a reality, or to join the teams in the ultra-modern data centres, for example. And designers who understand the art of networking, driving the Internet of Things forward and strengthening our position as a digitalisation driver. Or go-getters to push forward major transformation projects with the Center for Strategic Projects, the company's internal corporate consultancy. "We have job opportunities on all levels", says Staffler. This means that there are career opportunities for everyone, from entry level professionals to executives.

Consistent promotion of women

Telekom has been setting trends with regard to the promotion of women for a long time: In 2010, Telekom became the first DAX company to implement a voluntary quota. In 2016, Telekom reached second place in the Womens’ Career Index of the Federal Ministry for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth with highly effective programs designed to promote women. With special mentoring programs for women in specialist positions and managerial roles, who are about to enter, are currently in, or are about to return from maternity leave, we are actively supporting careers with children. Childcare facilities are also offered at many sites and guarantee the right to return from part-time work to full-time work.

A development that is also driven by digitalisation: It creates more freedom for our employees – and Telekom makes consistent use of this. The company offers tailored and flexible work models to suit the requirements of our colleagues – from tandem management schemes, through to temporary career breaks.
