As a Senior Mainframe Architect with focus on winning new customer, you support the Delivery Mainframe Operations as an Architect in the PreSales Process. From analyzing the customer environment to optimize the Hardware, Architecture, software analyses and planning (Software roadmap IBM, CA, BMC, ect.), Creation of migration sceneries till creation of the manufacturing cost calculation.

This includes the following tasks:

  • Architecure support within customer projects (New and existing customer)
  • Verification and Analyzing of customer environments (Hardware, Software, Employees)
  •  Customer consulting about new technologies and optimization potentials
  • Creation and verification of innovative Mainframe solutions for the customer
  • Creation and verification of transitions, transformation- and operating concepts
  • Creation of business cases, economic considerations and manufacturing cost calculations
  • Implemenation of Proof of concepts and supporting the implementation phase
  • Participation in global capacitiy and quantity planning

You have a conclusion in studying IT or another same education. You bring us minimum 3-5 years’ experience as an IT Architect in Mainframe IT projects.

You also have the following knowledge:

  • Extensive experience in customer advice and sales processes
  • Very good knowledge in the cost analysis of mainframe systems and solution (Business Case and creating an offer)
  • You have well founded knowledge in identification, analysis and structuring of technical  requirements considering business considerations
  • Well-founded practical experience in Conception and implementation of functional and not functional requirements (Performance, high availability, operability)
  •  In-depth know-how in the mainframe environment (z/OS, USS, zLinux and Blockchain, JAVA, WAS,…) with longstanding experience in managing of systems, infrastructure and services
  • Strong knowledge in creating of technological solution concepts and architecture as well as handling with automation solutions on the Mainframe

Proficient in German and English language as well as a national and international willingness to travel round off your profile.
