CeBIT 2010 - Life is for sharing

"Connected Worlds" is the central theme of this year’s CeBIT from March 2 - 6 in Hanover. Visitors can find Deutsche Telekom’s stand in hall 4/D 26.

At a "CeBIT PreView" on January 20/21 in Munich and January 27/28 in Hamburg, selected exhibitors will be revealing the latest innovations and trends that will feature at the ITC sector’s leading international trade fair.

Deutsche Telekom will be among those presenting a number of highlights.

Clever box
With its new Speedport W 504V, Deutsche Telekom will be unveiling a top-notch router that not only offers high-speed surfing and downloads at speeds of up to 16,000 kbit/s, but also allows four PCs to be networked via LAN and printers or hard drives connected via USB 2.0. One particularly impressive feature boasted by the Speedport W 504V is the integrated DECT basis in accordance with the new DECT standard CAT-iq 2.0 (CAT-iq, Cordless Advanced Technology - Internet and Quality), which allows all DECT mobile handsets that support this standard to be connected.

New dimension of TV
Deutsche Telekom is now offering new interactive functions for LIGA total!, the Bundesliga soccer service from Entertain. Watching one match live and following another in widget format is no longer an issue. At the press of a button, viewers can decide whether they want to watch decisive moments in other matches taking place at the same time or stick with the match they are watching. The VideoTicker, live league tables and goal scorer list provide Entertain customers with a wealth of information about the current match day whenever they choose.

Cheaper phone calls
Deutsche Telekom’s new prepaid calling plans will enable customers to make even cheaper calls starting February 2: T-Mobile is cutting the minute price for domestic calls to the fixed network and other mobile networks from 19 to 15 cents for Xtra Card, the standard rate for the Xtra SIM card without a cell phone.
T-Mobile will also be offering a self-service version of the Xtra Card rate at selected retail partners and chain stores for EUR 9.95 with starting credit of EUR 5. Another improvement has also been made for those that make frequent calls using Xtra when abroad - the Smart Traveler option will be set as default.
