Deutsche Telekom and Cellnex have agreed to combine radio tower business in the Netherlands and become anchor investors in newly established infrastructure fund. The €0.7bn divesture of Deutsche Telekom’s Dutch mobile tower business consists of €0.3bn in cash proceeds and a €0.4bn stake in the new fund.

USA: Deutsche Telekom increased its ownership stake in T-Mobile US

Deutsche Telekom has issued 225m new shares valued at €20 each to SoftBank. In return, SoftBank has sold around 45m TMUS shares to Deutsche Telekom at an average price of $118 per share. DT bought a further 20m shares in T-Mobile US from SoftBank with $2.4bn of the proceeds from the Dutch sale.

MetroPCS has agreed to conduct a reverse stock split and pay out $1.5bn in cash to its existing shareholders. It agreed to issue new stock worth about 74% to T-Mobile USA’s parent, Deutsche Telekom afterwards, leaving existing MetroPCS investors with a 26% stake.
