New methods in corporate communications: Deutsche Telekom presents Content Factory at CeBIT

  • Pioneering role in digital communications
  • 360° media production as stand exhibit
  • Launch of WhatsApp channel for corporate communications

Deutsche Telekom's digitization push has reached corporate communications: at CeBIT, the company will demonstrate the "Content Factory," a platform for the cross-media editorial planning and production of media content. At Deutsche Telekom's CeBIT stand, the Content Factory will serve as the central point of contact for journalists and other interested parties. "We are building on new formats, transparency and speed. Planning and production are converging," says Philipp Schindera, Senior Vice President for Corporate Communications at Deutsche Telekom.

The Content Factory focuses on the differentiated targeting of a variety of audiences, through a growing number of channels and formats, from a single hub. The objective is to spread the news and set the sustained agenda for internal and external audiences, such as the press/general public, social media users and company employees. The open integration of the Content Factory at Deutsche Telekom's stand emphasizes the company's focus on dialog and real-time communications. Attractive trade fair highlights, innovations and discussions will be conveyed directly to media audiences; topics and the CeBIT experience can be shared digitally and synergies between channels can be utilized effectively.

Cross-channel agenda-setting and launch of WhatsApp channel
A particular focus of corporate communications is social media and interaction with those interested in Deutsche Telekom on the Internet. With this in mind, Deutsche Telekom will begin sending company news through a WhatsApp service on March 10, in the run-up to CeBIT, as the first DAX30 company to do so. "We are taking our information to where the people spend their time," says Philipp Schindera. "More than 35 million people already use the service in Germany. The fact that we are the first major company in Germany to use WhatsApp as a news service for corporate communications underscores Deutsche Telekom's pioneering role in the use of new, digital communication channels." The subscription is free of charge and users will receive information about products, innovations and network topics as push messages directly on their smartphones. Like any other WhatsApp chat, users can reply to messages and submit direct feedback. More information on how to sign up for this service will be provided soon under www.telekom.com/media.

Media representatives will have the opportunity to find out about this digital premiere first-hand at Deutsche Telekom's stand.

Experience our products and services live at CeBIT from March 14 - 18 at the Deutsche Telekom stand in hall 4, stand C38. Deutsche Telekom's entire presence at the trade fair is carbon-neutral: All CO2 emissions generated in setting up and operating the stand are offset fully by carbon-reduction projects abroad.
