T-DSL 1500: Twin turbo for the Internet

Market launch in Berlin, Hamburg, Munich and Stuttgart Deutsche Telekom is launching T-DSL 1500, its newer, faster Internet access, in four major German cities. This latest variant of T-DSL offers transmission speeds of up to 1.5 megabits per second (Mbit/s) downstream and up to 192 kilobits per second (kbit/s) upstream. In comparison, T-DSL currently allows Deutsche Telekom's residential customers to download data from the Internet at up to 768 kbit/s and to send data at up to 128 kbit/s. Customers in Berlin, Hamburg, Munich and Stuttgart will be able to order the new product from mid-May. T-DSL 1500 costs an additional EUR 9.99 on top of the existing T-DSL charge and is aimed primarily at high-volume users.

The key benefits of our now even faster high-speed Internet connection are the considerable time-saving and greater ease of access to the Web; multimedia content, for example videos or animated games, can be retrieved even faster. Web surfers can find such products in the newly-launched T-Online Vision broadband portal from T-Online (www.t-online-vi-sion.de). With T-DSL 1500, software, music files and film sequences can be downloaded even more quickly than with T-DSL. The speed at which Web pages can be downloaded with the T-DSL twin turbo offers surfers a whole new Internet experience.
