Deutsche Telekom offers premium service for tablets, smartphones and computers

  • IT service-on-demand "Premium" offers assistance 365 days a year
  • On site within eight hours, Monday through Saturday
  • Support for home networking

With its "Premium" IT service-on-demand, Deutsche Telekom now offers fast, competent support for all questions involving mobile devices, PCs and home networking - by hotline and remote access 365 days a year. In complex cases, the "Premium" IT service-on-demand can also help customers directly, on site, within eight hours. Deutsche Telekom is presenting this new service for the first time at IFA 2013, the international consumer electronics show in Berlin.

The new "Premium" IT service-on-demand model rounds out the existing, TÜV-certified "Basic" and "Comfort" products. In addition to extended service times, it also features many new offerings. It is perfect for demanding users of mobile and stationary devices who rely entirely on their smartphones, tablets or computers for business or personal use and don't have the time to deal with issues involving configuration, networking or other problems.

365 days a year, weekdays from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sundays/holidays from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., customers can call the hotline at 0800 33 01472 to get help for problems with smartphones, laptops, PCs and Macs from competent, trained experts - up to 45 minutes per month. Each additional minute costs EUR 1.79. Unused minutes expire at the end of each month. As part of the service, the experts can configure and activate your new PC or Mac and synchronize it with other devices. Telekom experts can also help users configure and run data backups.

If a problem cannot be solved through remote access, individual support is also available through on-site service within eight hours of reporting the problem - up to four times per year. Subscribers to "Premium" IT service-on-demand can also obtain support at any Telekom Shop with a Service Station. Problems reported by 2 p.m. are resolved the same day.

Another new component is a training program that gives IT beginners both young and old a start in the world of computing. In streamlined units, trained experts teach the basics of safe computing, including the most important programs.

The comprehensive "Premium" IT service-on-demand is available for a monthly fee of EUR 14.95 starting September 6, 2013. The minimum term of agreement is 24 months.
