According to Stiftung Warentest, Deutsche Telekom’s Entertain TV service offers the best picture quality. In a recent test, Stiftung Warentest compared the Deutsche Telekom TV service with satellite, cable and DVBT services, and also with the services of a different IPTV provider. Entertain came out on top for standard-definition picture quality with a score of 1.8. The publication even awarded the highest score of 1.0 for HD-quality TV pictures. Between June and August 2010, Stiftung Warentest tested eight TV services, including four major cable network companies, one satellite provider, two telecommunications providers and DVB-T. Digital video recorders recorded program excerpts from various stations and experts then assessed their picture and sound quality. In addition, they recorded the average data rates. Deutsche Telekom’s Entertain offers customers not only the best picture quality, but also an enormous selection of high-quality TV content. Entertain customers can choose from more than 130 TV programs. They can also retrieve some 15,000 films, series and documentaries at any time from the TV archive and the online video store, of which more than 1,500 are available in High Definition. Entertain subscribers with a VDSL line can already enjoy the programs of many HD stations such as Das Erste HD, ZDF HD, arte HD, MTV Networks HD and Anixe HD. Over and above, LIGA total!, Deutsche Telekom’s Bundesliga service, allows viewers to follow all first-division games of the German soccer league in HD - live, via conference link-up and on demand.
