HUAWEI and Netatmo are new QIVICON partners

  • HUAWEI is developing QIVICON-based solution
  • Netatmo’s Weather Station and Thermostat for Smartphone

The crossvendor Smart Home platform QIVICON has two new partners: the Chinese provider of information and telecommunications solutions HUAWEI and the French manufacturer of Weather Station and Thermostat for Smartphone Netatmo.

HUAWEI is one of the world’s leading providers of ICT solutions such as network infrastructure, software or smartphones. In the course of cooperation the company will place a special focus on developing Smart Home-compatible terminal devices and control elements. "We are very much looking forward to the cooperation with the QIVICON Smart Home platform. Our main aim is to make full use of the strengths we share in developing and providing end customer solutions," said Haibo Zhang, Key Account President Deutsche Telekom at HUAWEI.

Netatmo’s Weather Station and Thermostat for Smartphone With the indoor and outdoor modules of the Weather Station by Netatmo, QIVICON users owning a Netatmo Weather Station will soon access to information such as temperature, air humidity, air pressure, sound level and CO2 level. They will be able to see the measurements on their smartphone, tablet or PC. So they can determine the quality of the air in a room and the best time to aerate. With the Netatmo Thermostat for Smartphone, QIVICON users will in future control their heating from their smartphone, tablet or PC. It sets a program to reflect the users’ habits. Users benefit from the right temperature at the right time.

"We are thrilled that QIVICON will include our Weather Station and our Thermostat for Smartphone into their connected home ecosystem", explains Fred Potter, Founder and CEO of Netatmo. "QIVICON’s platform is at the intersection of two major trends within the technology industry: the Internet of Things and the connected home sector, creating opportunity for like-minded companies to collaborate and bring bigger, smarter innovations to consumers at an accelerated pace."
