  • Focal point for visitors to the trade show: MagentaEINS
  • Showcase series of interactive experiences increased visitor numbers, dwell time and consultation rate
  • MagentaEINS Experience World one of the IFA trade show highlights

Deutsche Telekom reports on a successful few days again this year at the Internationale Funkausstellung (IFA) trade show in Berlin, which closes its doors today. With the motto "Zuhause und Mobil werden EINS: MagentaEINS" (home and mobile become ONE: MagentaONE) the telecommunications company presented its product and experience world in Hall 21a for the first time this year. The customer-focused brand presence and the communication that accompanied it resulted in high levels of visitor interest. After five days, more than 150,000 visitors came to the Deutsche Telekom stand, which covered some 3,000 square meters, as well as the addition this year for the first time of the Digital Playground in the outside area.

"Our overall concept for the brand presence was a huge success. We reached 30 percent more visitors in our new spot than last year, generating enthusiasm among them for our MagenaEINS product range," said Antje Hundhausen, Vice President 3D Brand Experience, underlining the company's success at the trade show.

Deutsche Telekom was not only able to welcome additional visitors to the stand. Those who did come spent a longer average time there and made more use of the consultation options than last year. The analysis of the surveys conducted on site revealed that, in comparison to last year, visitors browsed the stand for 20 percent longer.

Deutsche Telekom presented a broad spectrum of topics at its exhibition stand, from Smart Home and convenient service solutions, to new additions to the MagentaEINS family. The new MagentaMobil Start rates and services in the Magenta portfolio aroused particular interest among stand visitors. 54 percent of visitors to the stand requested information on MagentaEINS.

The brand presence was characterized by a playful combination of information and interaction again this year. Visitors could actively affect the displays on the large wall-mounted screens, take part in competitions on the stage, and even produce their own videos. The helicopter at the center of the stand, there to symbolize the rapid assistance offered by the "Telekom hilft" (Telekom helps) service community, proved a real eye-catcher, as did the virtual reality showcase in the MagentaWOHNEN Smart Home area. The latter provided the opportunity to experience Deutsche Telekom's Smart Home portfolio in a virtual 3D world The digital playground on the open-air site in front of Hall 21a was also a visitor magnet. In this area, visitors could take a look for the first time at Smart Home services in conjunction with BMW and Entertain to go, and join in and have a go with fun partner campaigns like the adidas Smart Ball Tunnel and the Sony Skate Park.
