No need for compromises: MagentaMobil Start plans with more data – including Europe-wide roaming, maximum speeds and HotSpot Flat

  • More capacity: 50 percent more data for even better surfing in the best LTE network
  • More speed: LTE Max with up to 300 Mbit/s – the first time for prepay customers
  • More included: Stay better connected thanks to HotSpot Flat and EU roaming
  • Existing customers also automatically benefit from all plan upgrades

Deutsche Telekom is reconfiguring its MagentaMobil Start portfolio. From October, existing and new customers can expect attractive packages that offer even more in terms of data allowances and surfing speeds. Prepay customers can thus look forward to even more flexibility as they surf and make calls in the best LTE network. What’s more, customers who are abroad in the EU don’t have to miss out on anything and can take their plan with them on their travels. Added to that, Deutsche Telekom is also Germany’s only network provider to offer prepay customers a free HotSpot flat rate for the first time.

The data allowances in the MagentaMobil Start S and M plans are increasing by 50 percent and LTE Max – at a speed of up to 300 Mbit per second – is being made available to prepay customers for the first time. However, besides surfing the Internet faster, prepay customers can also enjoy more flexibility, with plans and surf passes extended to include EU-wide roaming, at no extra cost. That means inclusive features originally intended for use in Germany can be used throughout the EU, without any additional charges. Customers also get free access to more than 1.5 million Deutsche Telekom HotSpots in Germany.

MagentaMobil Start plans get an upgrade

Start small and grow as much as you want: The new MagentaMobil Start portfolio offers a range of plans for different types of use and needs. MagentaMobil Start XS is available for 2.95 euros. This plan includes flat-rate calls and text messages to the Deutsche Telekom mobile network and to one landline number, which works even without credit, making it ideal for families. Calls and text messages to other German networks cost 9 euro cents per minute or text. Data usage is available through Dayflat for 0.99 euros.

With the MagentaMobil Start S plan at 4.95 euros, customers can also surf with a 150 MB data allowance and LTE Max in the fastest network – perfect for those starting out in the mobile Internet and for occasional Web users. The data allowance has been increased by 50 percent over the previous Data Start S option.

The data allowance in the MagentaMobil Start M plan has also been increased by 50 percent to 750 MB – and is available for 9.95 euros. Customers with MagentaMobil Start L can enjoy really great surfing thanks to a 1 GB data allowance and a price reduction from 16.95 euros to 14.95 euros.

For new customers: MagentaMobil Start M with double the start-up credit

The one-time card price to buy any MagentaMobil Start plan is 9.95 euros. On activating the card, customers also receive a start-up credit of 10 euros. The billing period runs for four weeks.

A highlight for new customers: When customers activate the MagentaMobil Start M plan, Deutsche Telekom will double their start-up credit from 10 euros to 20 euros. This introductory offer is available until the end of the year.

Family Card Start comes with all MagentaMobil Start benefits

The Family Card Start and its associated options offer the same plan benefits as the MagentaMobil Start plans. The difference is that, with Family Card Start, the basic monthly price of 2.95 euros is automatically billed via a linked main mobile contract. And best of all, for MagentaEINS customers, the Family Card Start is included and the basic price of 2.95 euros does not apply. The Data Start S, M and L data options for 2 euros, 7 euros and 12 euros respectively can be added monthly – along with all the associated benefits. Here too, there is a one-time card price of 9.95 euros with a start-up credit of 10 euros on activation.

Surfing faster in the mobile Internet with Data Start

The Data Start surfing plan, which can be boosted with Surfflats is also getting an upgrade. New – surf with LTE-Max speed and use the data allowance of the Data Start packages when abroad in the EU, without incurring any additional charges. When using Flat S, prepay customers can surf for one day with a data allowance of 500 MB for 2.95 euros. Flat M with a 750 MB allowance can be added for one week at the cost of 9.95 euros. The 30-day Flat L surf pass costs 14.95 euros and offers the highest data allowance, at 1 GB.

Only at Deutsche Telekom

All existing MagentaMobil Start, Family Card Start and Data Start customers will also benefit from all the upgrades – automatically and of course at no extra cost. What’s more, existing customers can also make the most of all the benefits offered by the upgraded plans a whole week before their market launch in October.
