From November, all Entertain customers will be able to experience films, series and documentaries in high-definition. In addition, all HD content from online store Videoload and the TV archive will be available anytime to customers with a DSL 16plus connection . Previously, a VDSL connection was required in order to use this HD content.

With technical coverage of more than 20 million households, Entertain is the largest sales platform for HD content in Germany, and we will expand our offer consistently, both in terms of the online video store and our range of channels."
Entertain customers can choose from over 500 HD titles on demand. The offer includes cinema highlights such as Gran Torino and The International, the latest series of Desperate Housewives, Grey’s Anatomy and Lost, as well as high-quality documentaries from the Discovery Channel.
In order to receive HD content, Entertain customers simply require an HD-compatible television set. All media receivers enabling Entertain reception are equipped to handle high-definition images.
The MR 300 und MR 301 media receivers can also be used as hard-disk recorders, with storage capacities of 160 and 320 GB respectively.
However, no parallel recordings can be made while accessing HD content via a DSL 16plus connection. In order to enjoy HD content and record TV programs at the same time, a VDSL connection is required. In addition, at least one VDSL25 connection is required in order to receive HD channels and LIGA total! in HD.
