Deutsche Telekom to live stream Rock am Ring for the first time using 360° technology

Telekom to live stream Rock am Ring using 360° technology

Live stream première for music fans. Deutsche Telekom will be showing Rock am Ring as an exclusive HD live stream in 360° on their www.magenta-musik-360.de site. Whether you are at home or out and about, you can now share in the festival, viewing the performances of the big stars and newly discovered artists by simply running the live stream. Rock am Ring is Germany's best known music festival. 80,000 fans are expected to make the pilgrimage to the festival location at the legendary Nürburgring track from June 2 to 4.

"Music events like Rock am Ring provide a unique experience factor, whether this experience takes place live at the venue, or through visual media like TV and smartphones. And broadcasting in 360° HD live stream will make the experience perfect," says Michael Schuld, Head of Communication and Sales Marketing at Telekom Deutschland.

Using the latest innovative 360° technology, Deutsche Telekom is set to provide music lovers with an experience that feels as if they were actually at the gig in the flesh. A total of 20 HD and four 360° cameras will be installed on site to provide the experience. Performances from the main stages will be shown.
