Deutsche Telekom at CeBIT 2016: Digitization made easy

  • Cloud solution connects sites flexibly and securely
  • Companies are going all-IP for the future
  • New PBX increases availability

Don't just wait for the digital transformation – help shape it and "Digitization. Simply. Make it happen." That's the motto of Deutsche Telekom's CeBIT presence in 2016. The agenda covers the most pressing customer demands and the resulting goals: How can companies increase their sales and improve their service? How can they boost productivity, ensure secure data management and strengthen collaboration?

To achieve these goals, in addition to extensive consulting, Deutsche Telekom offers targeted digital solutions, products and services, with different packages for companies of all sizes. "Digitization poses new challenges for traditional SMEs in particular. We at Deutsche Telekom want to help companies to identify the opportunities of the digital transformation and capture them successfully, to become role models for others," says Hagen Rickmann, Director for Business Customers at Telekom Deutschland. "More efficient internal processes, for example, often lead to productivity increases and improved service for customers."

Encrypted connections from the cloud
Cloud VPN lets companies interconnect their sites – with secure, fast, high-availability connections. With this practical, cloud-based solution, all data communications take place through encrypted, protected Internet connections. This plug & play solution is simple and can be connected to any Internet line, without requiring technicians. The router downloads the required configuration automatically from the Telekom cloud. A self-service app lets companies control their networking conveniently – making it possible to connect new stores easily, prioritize data streams and even integrate employees in the tunneled network through mobile access.

Into the future with IP
DeutschlandLAN SIP Trunk provides small and mid-sized enterprises with simple migration from ISDN to IP-based lines. Companies keep their phone numbers and can book additional voice channels in HD quality. An Internet flat rate and fixed IP address are included. Bandwidth can be increased to up to 100 Mbit/s, subject to availability. Companies that go all-IP are ready for whatever the future might bring: new services, employees and entire locations can be integrated in the IT infrastructure simply, thanks to this standard network protocol.

Telephony 2.0
The PBX from the Internet, based on NFON, targets small companies that want to modernize their business communications. Employees make calls with VoIP and benefit from many versatile features: mobile devices can be integrated as full-featured extensions, intelligent call management improves availability and voice quality is improved. Hosted in German data centers, this cloud-based solution is ultra-secure and lets employees access the PBX on any connected device – tablet PC, smartphone or computer. Customers set up the modern DeutschlandLAN NFON communications solution themselves and configure it easily with a web interface.

New services on the Azure platform
In addition, Deutsche Telekom will offer services on the Microsoft Azure cloud platform that will help SMEs implement their digitization strategies in particular and that can be easily integrated in existing IT environments. The resources that Deutsche Telekom will provide include cloud backup, virtualization and web apps. Other services, such as machine-to-machine solutions, are under development. The services will be available in the second half of 2016, when the Microsoft Cloud in Germany is launched. Interested customers can already pre-register in the TelekomCLOUD portal under www.telekom.de/azure.

Cloud services for a connected business world
In addition to the Microsoft platform, through its strategic partnership with the U.S. company Salesforce, Deutsche Telekom also offers its customers intelligent solutions for improved sales, customer service and marketing from the cloud. As a sales partner in Germany and Europe, Deutsche Telekom combines its services with products by the leading provider of business cloud solutions. Customer, marketing and service data is available at all times on authorized mobile devices, ensuring end-to-end processes and improved connectivity – in Deutsche Telekom's best network and secure, German data centers.

Marketing in the SME Partner Program
Deutsche Telekom also markets its cloud solutions through IT resellers. In this business model, partner companies – such as ICT sellers, systems providers and software vendors – purchase Deutsche Telekom's IT services dynamically from the cloud. The partners then "refine" them with their own solutions and services and sell the bundled services to their end-customers under their own name. With this approach, Deutsche Telekom's partners can increase their added value without having to invest in proprietary infrastructure.

Experience these products and services live at CeBIT from March 14-18 at the Deutsche Telekom stand C38 in hall 4. Digitization thinkers and leaders will discuss their hands-on experiences in top-class talk formats. More information about the program and scheduled speakers is available
at transforum.telekom.com.
Deutsche Telekom's entire presence at the trade fair is carbon-neutral: All CO2 emissions generated in setting up and operating the stand are offset fully by carbon-reduction projects abroad.
