Deutsche Telekom has signed up its first customer from the building automation sector for its Secure Building Solutions service: german building automation GmbH has commissioned Deutsche Telekom to perform installation and support services for around 530 apartments throughout Germany. Specifically, the order is for automation solutions provided by provedo GmbH, including smoke alarms, video cameras and locking systems. As the name suggests, Secure Building Solutions is a full intelligent building security package offered by Deutsche Telekom. It includes conventional security systems such as access control and protection against break-ins and fire as well as building automation solutions and automated video analysis. Deutsche Telekom technicians will install the security systems and network them via a DSL line with a control center that is staffed 24 hours a days, 365 days a year.
