SAP and Deutsche Telekom are developing the "Corona Warning App" on behalf of the German government. The Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft and the Helmholtz Centre CISPA are providing advice on the development. The Corona Warning App is published by the Robert Koch Institute.

The Corona-Warn-App of the Federal Government is the digital supplement to spacing, hygiene and everyday masks. After contact with a corona infected person, the app notifies them of a possible risk of infection. The aim: users receive information more quickly and can be tested and isolated promptly. Infection chains can be interrupted more quickly. With this app everyone can help to fight the corona pandemic.

Deutsche Telekom and SAP have been working with a joint team since the end of April on the corona warning app, which is designed as an open source solution. SAP is providing the necessary software technology via a technical platform and is driving forward solution development. Deutsche Telekom is contributing its expertise in processes relating to network and mobile communications technology, system integration and data security and is ensuring secure and efficient operations.

Our Special provides up-to-date information on the Corona Warning App. We provide background information on topics such as data protection and open source. The Special offers pictures, video, graphics and podcasts.
