Deutsche Telekom with its corporate customers arm T-Systems is at Hannover Messe 2018 to showcase digital solution modules for industry under the banner “Shape the digital now.” The focus is on practical and concrete implementation options for production planning, manufacturing, and logistics. Visitors will be able to see products and services relating to the cloud, Internet of Things (IoT), connectivity, and security, and experience new trends such as digital twins, blockchains and artificial intelligence (AI).

“Reliable, secure, and easy to use – that's what companies need from the products that are to help them on their digital journey. However, we're aiming even higher: We want every visitor to leave HANNOVER MESSE with a new idea for the digital transformation,” underlined Adel Al-Saleh, member of the Board of Management of Deutsche Telekom and CEO of T-Systems. The Creative Space and the Creative Lab focus entirely on digital strategies and business models. Actual implementation is developed in practical workshops. “We work with our customers to maximize their business, bringing production, and the companies themselves, to a whole new level.”

Deutsche Telekom’s 800 m2 booth in Hall 6 (booth number F16) is divided into various experience areas. Topics relating to the digital factory are being presented in the Inspiration Space, which is accessible to all visitors to the booth. The cloud is used for production planning when information from machine sensors and operating and historical data are shared and monitored. Virtual load tests can already be carried out during planning by using a digital twin, the digital representation of an actual product. This is followed by the next stage of smart production, where the robot controls the workpiece while the human merely monitors it. This requires connectivity solutions such as the new NarrowBand IoT machine network and the next-generation real-time 5G communication standard for linking mobile and fixed-network services. Complete industrial systems can be digitized using this secure network infrastructure. The data collected can be evaluated using artificial intelligence, and production is optimized. Deutsche Telekom also offers easy to use solutions in the logistics environment such as the paperless waybill and intelligent transportation monitoring in real time.

Whether for planning, production or logistics, data protection and protection against cyber attacks are particularly important at all times. Visitors will thus be given a wide-ranging overview of Deutsche Telekom’s security solutions. This includes insights into blockchain technology and security offerings for major corporations as well as small and medium-sized enterprises.

To provide visitors with advice geared to their specific digitalization projects, the Deutsche Telekom booth also features two other areas. The Creative Space and Creative Lab offer further relevant information from T-Systems experts on digital strategies and business models. Actual implementation can then be developed in practical workshops.

“SHAPE THE DIGITAL NOW” – experience our products and services live at the Deutsche Telekom booth (Hall 6, F16) at HANNOVER MESSE from April 23 to 27.
