

Schläffer given responsibility for product and innovation at T-Mobile and the DT Group
Changes in the team of the CEO Christopher Schläffer (37), until now the Corporate Development Officer of Deutsche Telekom, will become a member of the Executive Committee of T-Mobile International responsible for product and innovation. He will become the Group Product and Innovation Officer of Deutsche Telekom, reporting directly to Hamid Akhavan.
Christopher Schläffer has made a major contribution regarding the Group development over the past years. In this position he was largely responsible for the alignment of the three strategic business areas and laid the foundation for the Next Generation Network (NGN) of Deutsche Telekom. After the successful build-up of the innovation function across the Group Christopher Schläffer now also assumes operational responsibility for product and innovation at T-Mobile International and the Group. “I am delighted that we were able to engage Christopher Schläffer for this position. Arndt Rautenberg, Head of Group Strategy and Politics, will leave the company at his own request to take on a new career challenge. Obermann thanked Rautenberg for his strong commitment for Deutsche Telekom.
Francis Deprez, the Managing Director of the Center for Strategic Projects, will become acting head of the Group Strategy Department and will report directly to the CEO, René Obermann.
