World premiere: Telekom to present Depeche Mode on release day of new album ‘Spirit’

A world premiere, presented by Deutsche Telekom: On 17th March, the release day of their new album ‘Spirit’, Depeche Mode will perform an exclusive, intimate show for Telekom Street Gigs in the legendary Funkhaus Berlin. Fans across the globe can be part of the event via HD live stream.

“Thanks to Telekom, our fans all around the world can experience the live première of songs from ‘Spirit’ via live stream,” explains lead singer Dave Gahan.

Michael Schuld, Head of Communications and Sales Marketing for Telekom Germany, is excited that one of the greatest bands of all time will perform on the Street Gigs stage. “As leaders in innovation we are pleased to be able to show Depeche Mode via HD live stream. By offering unique content for all devices and social media platforms on the best network, we are making our brand promise “Life is for sharing” a reality for all.”

One of the most influential, beloved and best-selling musical acts of all time, Depeche Mode have sold over 100 million records and played live to more than 30 million fans worldwide. Formed in 1981, Depeche Mode – Martin Gore, Dave Gahan and Andy Fletcher – continue to win critical and commercial acclaim around the world both in the studio and on the road, with innumerable artists citing them as inspirations and innovators.  The band’s 13 studio albums have reached the Top Ten in over 20 countries, including the US and UK. Their upcoming 14th studio album Spirit is being released by Columbia Records on March 17.

Tickets for the concert can be won at telekom-streetgigs.de and are not available for purchase. The HD live stream will be broadcast on 17th March 2017 at 8 pm on live.telekom-streetgigs.de.
