Thomas Mirow joins the Supervisory Board

Thomas Mirow joins the Supervisory Board of Deutsche Telekom AG. Volker Halsch steps down. State Secretary Volker Halsch has resigned his position on the Supervisory Board of Deutsche Telekom AG effective January 16, 2006. He is to be succeeded by Thomas Mirow. Until very recently, Mirow was the personal representative of the Federal Chancellor for the Lisbon strategy and Director-General for Economic and Financial Affairs and Employment Policy at the Federal Chancellery, before becoming State Secretary at the Federal Ministry of Finance in November 2005.

In its decision dated January 11, 2006, the Bonn District Court appointed Mirow to the Supervisory Board effective January 17, 2006.

The Board of Management and Supervisory Board thank Volker Halsch for his valuable work as a member of the Supervisory Board of Deutsche Telekom AG.
