External auditors have examined Deutsche Telekom's compliance management and again confirmed that Telekom is well positioned against corruption.

Deutsche Telekom’s Compliance Management System is audited externally with a focus on anti-corruption on a regular basis. This enables us to ensure that we systematically counteract risks and have established effective processes.

Therefore, Deutsche Telekom has been audited regularly according to the Assurance Standard 980 of the Institute of Public Auditors in Germany (IDW PS 980), with a focus on prevention of corruption.

Moreover, Deutsche Telekom AG is one of the first companies worldwide, who has already successfully gone through an ISO Standard 37001 certification.

Assurance Standard 980, delineated area anti-corruption

In 2024 and 2025, Deutsche Telekom AG as well as 20 subsidiaries in Germany and internationally were audited by independent public auditors according to the Assurance Standard 980 of the Institute of Public Auditors in Germany for the delineated area of anti-corruption.

Focus of the audit were processes of the compliance organization as well as processes of areas that are exposed to a potential risk of corruption (e. g., procurement, sales, events, sponsoring, donations, human resources, mergers & acquisitions).

As a result, the auditors confirmed the compliance management system (CMS) of all audited companies to be appropriate and effective - an important basis for secure and sustainable business partnerships. It also reaffirms our Group-wide zero-tolerance approach to corruption and underlines that we are consistently and successfully implementing the path we have chosen to continuously develop our CMS.

Certification according to ISO 37001 (Anti-Bribery Management Systems)

The ISO Standard 37001 regarding Anti-Bribery-Management-Systems was introduced in October 2016. Deutsche Telekom AG is one of the first companies world-wide to have been successfully certified in 2017.
