“AI is the lifeline for German industry. We see the opportunities and need to get rid of the fear factor surrounding AI from our system. This AI factory is a statement,” says Telekom CEO Tim Höttges. 

“I am impressed by Telekom's work. It's a statement! Thanks to the AI factory, we are seeing a 50 percent increase in AI computing capacity in one fell swoop. That's a quantum leap. We can catch up in Germany,” says Bavarian Minister President Markus Söder. 

“The cooperation between SAP, Telekom, and Nvidia is a sign of strength and a driver of innovation. We want to work together to move this country forward. It must be our goal to be at the forefront of technological change,” says Federal Finance Minister Lars Klingbeil. 

I am proud and grateful that Germany's first AI factory is located in Munich. We must alleviate people's fears about AI. AI will secure German jobs and increase productivity," says Munich's mayor Dieter Reiter.

"Many can talk. Deutsche Telekom acts," emphasizes Tim Höttges, CEO of Deutsche Telekom. "We are investing in AI. We are proving here that Europe can do AI."

T-Systems CEO Ferri Abolhassan explains the background to the AI factory. It is the basis for the "Deutschland Stack", which Deutsche Telekom provides together with SAP.

The data center is powered entirely by renewable energy sources. It is designed for maximum energy efficiency. The waste heat will be used to supply the entire Tucherpark district with heat.

A modern cooling concept relies on water from the nearby Eisbach stream to cool the data center. The Industrial AI Cloud thus fits into Telekom's sustainability strategy.

The Munich-based provider Agile Robots is bringing artificial intelligence and robotics into the Industrial AI Cloud.

AI in record time: Deutsche Telekom has built the AI factory over the past six months together with NVIDIA and data center partner Polarise.
