Aufgabe
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Chapter Lead. As the Chapter Area Lead, I am looking for a passionate professional to support the already established team of Chapter Leads and take ownership of their own chapter.
Responsibilities:
- Lead a diverse team of software engineers, fostering an inclusive and collaborative work environment.
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to the chapter members to help them achieve their professional goals, maximize their potential and win their hearts for our organization.
- Collaborate closely with other chapter leads, promoting effective communication and knowledge sharing across teams.
- Promote and maintain - together with the Chapter Lead team - a strong emphasis on social skills and empathy within the chapter, creating an environment that encourages open dialogue and constructive feedback.
- Ensure that chapter members have a good understanding of software engineering concepts, methodologies, and best practices.
- Act as a liaison between the chapter and the Tribe Leads (like Project Managers), communicating progress, challenges, and potential solutions.
- Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and advancements in the field of software engineering.

Professional skills
- University/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other technical related field
- Experience in field of activity: 5+ years in area of Software Engineering working for a communication service provider, cloud service provider or software vendor.
- Multinational experience: essential
- Managerial experience: experience with coordination and leading teams within multinational environments
- Leadership skills and experience in building and developing high performing teams
- Strong drive for execution, ability to involve and align highly independent decision makers
- Strong track record working in virtual settings across globally distributed teams
- General awareness of modern software engineering
Social skills
- Most important: be passionate about this people lead responsibility!
- Exceptional social skills and a high level of empathy, with the ability to build strong relationships and foster a positive work environment.
- Proven experience as a leader with a good understanding of software development and related methodologies.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively convey complex ideas and technical concepts to various stakeholders.
- A passion for mentoring and developing team members, enabling their growth and success.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on finding practical solutions.
- Familiarity with international work environments, understanding and appreciating cultural diversity.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in an areas supporting the job. Equivalent work experience will also be taken into consideration.
