CHIP magazine acknowledges Deutsche Telekom's mobile network as the best in Germany

The test made by specialist magazine CHIP confirms what many insiders already suspected: the mobile networks available in Germany are getting steadily better. Test experts from the magazine have named the Deutsche Telekom network once more this year as Germany's best mobile network.
In its first issue of 2017, the CHIP team put the improving quality of the essential infrastructure for mobile communications under the microscope, assessing network quality in two categories: "Overall network quality" and "LTE network quality". And Deutsche Telekom won their Test winner logo in both categories.
In the last few years, Telekom has invested billions of euros in its fixed and mobile networks. This constant investment effort is now paying off for the customers. For example, the specialists measured 95% LTE coverage for the Deutsche Telekom network on their approximately 12,000 km tour of the Federal Republic.
And the implementation of new network technologies is also bringing new benefits to mobile users. As a result of new innovations, calls using VoLTE ("Voice over LTE") are set up almost twice as fast as they were in the past.
Summary of the network test
The quality of Germany's mobile networks is improving constantly. But Deutsche Telekom customers are receiving the best overall performance of the pack.

Towards the middle of this year, in connect magazine's Issue number 8/2016, Deutsche Telekom's fixed line network proved itself in the magazine's test, winning the competition with a mark of "Excellent". Deutsche Telekom's offerings in the world of TV also proved a winning formula, coming first in a comparative test of IP-TV providers.
Our 450,000 kilometers of fiber optic cabling, such innovations as hybrid routers for the consumer market and a massive LTE rollout that is already benefiting more than 91% of the country's population, form just some of the foundation stones upon which Deutsche Telekom provides the best possible network experience for its customers.
