Deutsche Telekom continues mobile device leadership with focus on affordable smartphones for the mass market

Deutsche Telekom continues its leadership position with a powerful range of mobile devices and the most popular operating platforms - to offer customers the best mobile data experiences available at the best price. From Android, Apple iPhone, and Microsoft Windows Phone 7 smartphones, to netbooks and Tablet-PCs, Deutsche Telekom continues to give customers around the world a variety of device options to share life's special moments.

For example, the new "move by T-Mobile" is an affordable, compact, Android smartphone perfect for young and trendy consumers who want to maximize their mobile social-networking and apps experience - at a great price - without sacrificing performance or design. The "move by T-Mobile" is manufactured by Alcatel One Touch, and will be launching in black, violet, and white colors in Q2 in ten European markets.

Telekom is proud to partner with Samsung on a global level with the launch of the Samsung Galaxy Mini (S5570), an affordable 3G Android Smartphone with an ergonomic rounded shape and trendy design. The Samsung Galaxy Mini will launch in selected European markets and in the US in Q2 2011. In addition to the Galaxy Mini, Deutsche Telekom will also expand its Galaxy family line-up by launching the Samsung I9100 Galaxy S II, a premium Android smartphone with a 4.3" super AMOLED Plus touch display, and 8 MP camera. The Samsung Galaxy II will launch in most European markets in Q2.

For Tablet-PC fans, Telekom will have a variety of Tablet-PCs available in 2011, including the Motorola XOOM, launching in select European markets in Q2. The Motorola XOOM features a 10.1" HD wide-screen display, dual-core 1GHz processor that delivers high-speed web browsing and multi-media experiences, and two cameras designed for video calling enabling customers to stay in touch and interact with friends and family.

To enable customers to access the new high-speed LTE network, Deutsche Telekom will launch the Huawei E398 LTE data stick in Q2 2011 in Germany and Austria. The E398 is Deutsche Telekom's first 4G mobile broadband data stick that operates on the 800 MHz and the 1,8/2,6 GHz band. The E398 will automatically select the fastest available mobile data network and provide customers with an easy-to-use interface to make mobile data access simple and convenient.
