Makedonski Telekom has announced an enhancement of the product portfolio for MaxTV

The optic cable connection will mean more information, as well as a faster and safer manner of communication for the Macedonian citizens.

Only one year after the introduction of MaxTV on the Macedonian market and the 3Max packages, with an achieved number of 12 000 active users of the digital television, today, Makedonski Telekom has announced an enhancement of the product portfolio for various types of customer needs.

In view of the excellent acceptance of the 3 Max packages, but also in order to respond to the demands of all customers, today the company is promoting the new 2 Max package so as to make MaxTV available to as many citizens as possible. The package includes only television and a fixed line, and it is ideal for the customers who do not need Internet. Concurrently, in order to support the increase of the internet penetration in Macedonia, Makedonski Telekom has announced three months of free-of-charge use of the Call & Surf packages, high speed internet and free-of-charge calls with over 120 000 members of the large 3 Маx and Call & Surf Internet family.

One year after the re-branding, the company has introduced various novelties on the Macedonian market, it has invested in the network upgrade, it has enhanced the product portfolio and it is constantly working on quality improvement and providing additional values to it customers.

To that aim, in only one year as of the introduction of the 3 Max packages, Makedonski Telekom started connecting the Macedonian homes via optic cable. "As of 1st December 2009, we expect for the complete product portfolio of MaxADSL, Call & Surf and 3 Max to function via optic cable in the covered areas, under the name Max Optic. Our goal is to provide this new experience to as many citizens as we possibly can, and for them to be able to enjoy the worldwide telecommunication innovations. We have brought light speed Internet to our customers" - stated at today’s press conference the Chief Marketing Officer, Mathias Hanel.

Fibre to the Home (FTTH*) is the most advanced technology in the world as regards broadband Internet access and telecommunication services in general. It is a technology of the future that enables the transmission of large amounts of data, over long distances and in a safer manner. With Fibre to the Home the customer will obtain enormous and symmetrical Internet speeds of up to 50 Mbps, the possibility to watch more HD TV channels at the same time, while at the same time surfing the Internet and talking on several telephone lines. At the moment, over 20 million subscribers throughout the world are using this technology.

At the same time, today, Makedonski Telekom announced the beginning of the prize winning game, wherein the main prize is Audi A4 as a gift for the Christmas and New Year’s Holidays.
