T-Systems, Deutsche Telekom’s enterprise customer unit, today announced that its Open Telekom Cloud solution has achieved SAP-certified integration with SAP Business Suite and SAP S/4HANA running on the SAP HANA platform. The Open Telekom Cloud, Deutsche Telekom's public cloud infrastructure, has been proven to interoperate with SAP Business Suite and SAP S/4HANA running on SAP HANA. The goal of the certification project was to ensure high performance of SAP HANA on Deutsche Telekom's public cloud.

Now clients can use SAP HANA and SAP products based on ABAP and Java on the Open Telekom Cloud. With the offering in the public cloud, companies can flexibly and easily add SAP applications to their IT landscape via self-service without having to forego any support that may be required.

The SAP Integration and Certification Center (SAP ICC) has certified that the Open Telekom Cloud integrates with SAP Business Suite and SAP S/4HANA running on SAP HANA using standard integration technologies.

T-Systems, Deutsche Telekom's business customer division, had already begun working with SAP last year on running SAP software on the Open Telekom Cloud. Both companies have been working closely together for many years. T-Systems already operates one of the largest private clouds for SAP applications with around four million users. Based on its many years of experience, T-Systems also offers customers help in transforming their SAP solution landscapes to run in the cloud or on SAP S/4HANA, T-Systems’ “Cloudifier program.” T-Systems and SAP are also working closely together in the field of the Internet of Things (IoT).
