T-Mobile expands its international brand footprint as it launches today in three additional European markets - almost 40 million customers in four European markets will use T-Mobile services - T-Mobile leverages its "Get more" philosophy on T-Mobile Day Four countries, one brand - T-Mobile International, one of Deutsche Telekom AG's four strategic divisions, today expanded the T-Mobile brand footprint beyond Germany to include three new European markets. Some almost 40 million customers of T-Mobile's subsidiaries in the U.K., Austria, the Czech Republic and Germany will now receive an array of innovative products and services under the T-Mobile brand such as seamless GSM-based transatlantic roaming, flat-rate international calling plans and access to a wide array of GSM handsets and voice-enabled PDAs.

With three simultaneous press conferences in London, Vienna and Prague T-Mobile International introduces the T-Mobile brand in these countries, joining T-Mobile Germany which migrated to the new brand already at the beginning of the year.

"Deutsche Telekom's international expansion is clearly 'powered by T-Mobile'", said Dr. Ron Sommer, CEO of Deutsche Telekom AG. "In the long run, only a top group of mobile communication companies will establish their brand as a synonym for innovation and customer service. T-Mobile belongs to that group, delivering on its consumer promise 'Get More from T-Mobile !'."

Ron Sommer addressed via videolink from London the guests at the other two locations. There members of the managing board of Deutsche Telekom, T-Mobile International and the local CEOs introduced the brand transition.

"T-Mobile still is the only mobile communication company providing seamless transatlantic service to its customers", said Kai-Uwe Ricke, CEO of T-Mobile International and Member of the Management board of Deutsche Telekom. "On basis of the most successful international standard GSM the subsidiaries and affiliates of T-Mobile International alone have licenses to cover a population of almost 600 million, roughly a tenth of the world's population."

As part of the "Get More" philosophy, T-Mobile will strengthen its commitment to quality and a superior range of voice and data products and services. The T-Mobile brand stands for "Get more" - more features, more value, more service. And it will internationally create an important orientation through consistent quality.

On the occasion of the introduction of the new brand T-Mobile UK introduced two new service offerings: "Daytime" and "Free Time 750". "Daytime" is designed for SME customers with free daytime calls every weekday to local and national landlines and to other T-Mobile customers in the UK. "Free Time 750" includes 750 free minutes of off-peak calls to local and national landlines and other T-Mobile (UK) customers in the UK. This offer targets customers who typically phone during the evening and on weekends.

T-Mobile Austria cuts the WorldClass flatrate for roaming in half for its customers until April 2003.

Also T-Mobile Austria and T-Mobile Germany today introduced pay-per-event services for selected content of the T-Mobile online portal. A new micro billing platform allows "single usage" downloads, such as ringtones, logos or greetings, to be billed directly to customers- monthly T-Mobile bills or to be deducted from customers- prepaid accounts.

Following the press conferences the first T-Mobile branded flagship stores in the three capitals were officially opened to the public.

T-Mobile will continue this brand expansion through the course of this year as it takes the brand transatlantic and into other European countries.
