VPN Business - connecting company sites securely and flexibly

  • Affordable end-to-end solution for communicating across locations and for all your data transmission needs
  • Modular structure for lots of flexibility. Easy integration of mobile employees and home offices into a network
  • End-to-end solutions and services from a single source.

An all-inclusive package for your virtual corporate network. Small and medium-sized companies can use VPN Business (VPN = virtual private network) to flexibly and securely connect their locations via the Internet. The solution gives employees access to central services, applications, and databases at all times, making it possible for them to respond more quickly to customer inquiries and work more efficiently. With a corporate network, expensive delays and frustrating glitches are a thing of the past. VPN Business has a modular structure so that business customers can put together components individually and adjust the solution to meet their individual needs. Deutsche Telekom has significantly expanded its connected work portfolio with this affordable "all-round, worry-free package." The basic version of VPN Business is available now.

As an IP VPN with assigned IP addresses, VPN Business provides optimal security for your data. Data is transmitted via virtual tunnels (VPN tunnels). These tunnels effectively protect against external, unauthorized access. Data encryption is provided in accordance with the current AES standard (Advanced Encryption Standard). Integrated firewalls and an optional backup feature as well as connection stability and reliability also protect your data from leakage or loss. You can order additional security mechanisms, such as a content filter as well.

VPN Business stands out not just because of the security it provides but also because of its modular structure. You can put together the network components you need, a concept based on the idea of a tool kit. That means that VPN Business is always perfectly in tune with your company's needs. And what's more, you only receive and pay for those services that you actually need. And with VPN Business, it's easy to extend your network at any time. For example, you can incorporate new locations, mobile service and sales staff or home office employees step by step.

The main module of VPN Business is Internet access for all connected employees. You can choose between symmetrical bandwidths of 2, 10, 34, or 155 megabits per second. And you get demand-based connections for your branch offices. Field staff are provided with client software, which can be installed automatically on their laptops, for example. This software makes it possible for field staff to access the corporate network via a DSL connection, at a hotspot using WLAN or via the T-Mobile network using EDGE/GPRS and HSPA/UMTS. The VPN Business service package includes end-to-end service complemented by expert consulting and the Deutsche Telekom Technical Customer service available throughout Germany. This service is available to help customers introduce the solution, provide administrator support or conduct security workshops. For especially fast fault clearing, you can add the Service Plus from Deutsche Telekom to your VPN Business solution for a small fee.
