Deutschland TelePresence in the BayArena: top location for live conferencing

An extraordinary location for an extraordinary service: the BayArena soccer stadium is one of the latest sites to be equipped with Deutschland TelePresence, the pioneering live conferencing service from technology partners Telekom and Cisco. From July 2010, business people from the Leverkusen/Cologne region and beyond will be able to use the BayArena's conference area for live conferences in top quality. The Deutschland TelePresence system lets conference participants share information with colleagues and business partners in many locations worldwide, enabling companies to reduce their travel costs, save time, and cut CO2 emissions.

Renovated and modernized between 2007 and 2009, the BayArena is far more than simply the home ground of Bundesliga soccer club Bayer 04 Leverkusen. The stadium operators are systematically developing the ground into a multi-function business event location managed by the Bayer04 unit BayArena-Plus. Outside of the match schedule, the arena offers business customers an appealing venue for events, workshops and conferences. Thanks to Deutschland TelePresence, the BayArena has now set itself apart from many other conference facilities and hotels in the region, enabling guests to communicate efficiently using a live conferencing service unique of its kind. Afterwards, they can choose to cheer on players at a top-class soccer event. Whichever option they go for, users will enjoy realistic live conferencing. Participants see and hear each other as if they were sitting in the same room and can show each other presentations and edit Office documents together.

Deutsche Telekom invites its business customers to use the Deutschland TelePresence service both for their own needs and for optimizing and enhancing their own customer service. Deutschland TelePresence is available in a range of different versions. Each version is a complete package that comprises all relevant services, including planning, installation and operation. More specifically, packages include a broadband Internet access, the TelePresence System (from Cisco), an operator service, a reservation system, a high-performance security system and all installation, operation and maintenance. All components mesh perfectly, enabling customers to use the service simply and easily at the push of a button.
