General description

ICT Engineer for FCI (Future Cloud Infrastructure) Connectivity is responsible for operations of the FCI Connectivity platform, supports development team in Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment pipelines. Takes account and defines automated configuration management, release management, build, test and deployment activities of newest service improvements. Looking mainly for Openstack CEPH knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Responsible mainly for platform operation, supporting changes on the platform, maintenance of the platform and INM resolution of the platform for the test and build infrastructure. Responsible for the operation of the network service automation system and management platforms for the complete stack.

• Identification of areas for improvement together with the Senior ICT Engineer and ICT Engineers

• Cooperating with the Product Manager, Lead architect, Automation architect,  Developers, SDM and OPM, vendors

Scope of work:

  • Good working troubleshooting
  • Knowledge about  automation stacks in relation to Cisco NFVI and TSI automation
  • Work with developers , platform engineering, vendors  -  new feature/blueprint  introduction, upgrade procedures, PoC
  • Understanding and explanation of performance data, correlation of events

Work environment is situated on Zriedlova 13, CBC I. in an open office environment with relax room and kitchenettes.

Traditional Network:

• BGP / IPsec / Basic QoS

Compute (optional)

• Cisco UCS C240 and C220 M5

Storage – (must)

• OpenStack, OpenStack CEPH

Public clouds: basic knowledge

Hypervisor/ Cloud Platform

• Basic/Intermediate Linux

Openstack - Knowledge of Openstack and CEPH is required for 1st level investigate and to be able to identify a potential fault or issue and log a call with Cisco.

• Docker / Containers

Skills

• Able to document/describe and explain technical outcomes,

• Good working troubleshooting

• Optional experience in Cisco NSO

• Experience in Testing methodologies, tools and frameworks

• An understanding of Network technology’s and principles

• Optionally experience with various SQL and NoSQL databases

Solution Framework

• ETSI MANO Reference Framework

• Cisco NFVi, ESC, VIM, NSO, Ansible

Experience

  • 4-6 years of experience within the related field

Languages

  • English – advanced B2/C1

Others

  • Knowledge of the ITIL processes.
  • Project Management, Financial Literacy

Salary

Monthly salary range is  1150 - 1500 € brutto + variable part of salary + other financial benefits. The final basic wage component can be adjusted accordingly to individual skills and experience of selected candidate.
