General description

  • Accountable for storage or backup based services delivered to customer. Acts as highest level of technical support for all storage or backup  based technologies implemented in customer’s environment. Brings innovation and new ideas to the operation hence improving quality and reliability of delivered service. Brings in new ideas and drives its implemenation
  • Perform, coordinate and improve most complex activities (3rd level environment) needed to provide IT services and the supporting infrastructure in order to fulfill relevant KPI’s.
  • Plan, implement and maintain a stable technical infrastructure to support organization’s business processes.
  • Identify weaknesses in used processes and eliminate them following industry and internal standards.

Accoutabilities

  • Overall responsibility for assigned storage environment including assignment of necessary tasks to other team members
  • Creates and maintain technical documentation to secure the operational standards and guides are in place
  • Responsible for lifecycle and innovation of assigned technologies and environments
  • Consults, supports during major outages and incident resolutions as well as drives root cause analysis and proposes preventive measures  
  • Perform, coordinate and improve most complex activities needed to provide IT services and the supporting infrastructure in order to fulfill relevant KPI’s.
  • Propose and perform regular inspections and improvement recommendations .
  • Diagnose and resolve complex tickets or escalate complex tickets with direct/potential impact related to IT infrastructure.
  • Investigate the root cause of complex incidents and then initiate actions  to improve or correct the situation.
  • Evaluate, authorize, prioritize, plan, test, implement, document and review complex changes in controlled manner or escalate to higher authority.
  • Assess actual performance of IT infrastructure against its predicted performance. Any deviations between the two should be understood and proactively remediated, with vendors if necessary.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation to support IT service.
  • Identify weaknesses in used processes and eliminate them following industry and internal standards.
  • Plan, implement and maintain a stable technical infrastructure to support organization’s business.
  • Serve as technical lead to provide clear and comprehensive release and deployment plans.
  • Serve as technical lead to assure delivery of the service in critical situations.
  • Deliver effective training plans and concepts to train other employees and ensure their fulfillment
  • Implement new technologies/services or upgrades to existing technologies.

Requirements

Education

  • High school degree minimum, or University degree in the field 

Experience

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience with ICT Administration position with focus on storage technology

IT Technical skills – (deeper technical knowledge and experience in one or more areas is required)

  • Technical overview in OS, Network, Storage, Back up, Databases, Scripting

Salary

Monthly salary range is  1500 - 2300 € brutto + variable part of salary + other financial benefits. The final basic wage component can be adjusted accordingly to individual skills and experience of selected candidate.
