Two thirds of companies are currently working to develop a cloud first strategy. And DT has decided to make the cloud a focus of its booth at Hannover Messe.

From April 24 to 28, 2017, DT will be in hall 7, booth A40, presenting itself as a digitization partner with topics such as connected factory, predictive maintenance, smart supply chains, connectivity, security and the cloud.

Efficient and flexible product development with PLM Cloud

This includes a new DT offer for product development using cloud-based resources. Many companies have come to recognize that their data centers are no longer sufficient for these purposes. With PLM Cloud, Telekom's corporate customer arm, T-Systems, has created a customer-centered, vendor-independent Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solution to develop cloud-based products. Billing is done precisely to the day based on the pay-per-user principle. PLM Cloud includes, for example, virtual 3D developer workstations for CAD construction. PLM Cloud also offers companies access to Europe's fastest computers for particularly large-scale computing operations requiring external IT capacity, such as simulations.

Easily tested, fast to market: huge data analytics and AppAgile

Companies' developers regularly have ideas that would overstretch their in-house IT departments. AppAgile puts projects into operation and manages them. It is highly flexible, scalable and vendor-independent. The modular Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) range, with quickly accessible cloud-based business applications, makes it possible to combine a wide range of Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) components with different operating models and applications. AppAgile combines big data, analytics and applications and is scalable at any time to meet the needs of any project or company, no matter how big or small.

Networked applications for comprehensive customer service

Another product highlight at Telekom's booth at Hannover Messe: Salesforce DT is the only reseller of Salesforce products in Germany, as well as the only Salesforce partner in Europe offering all services end-to-end from consultation, integration, licensing, and app development to operation. The platform makes customer, marketing and service data available from the cloud. Salesforce is the world's No. 1 company in customer relationship management (CRM). Fully integrated with Salesforce, the world's leading e-signature tool, Docusign, also guarantees legally binding execution, for example during the sales process for bids and contracts.

Services-based billing with Cloud Billing

Also at Telekom's booth at Hannover Messe: Cloud Billing by T-Systems, a flexible and economical cloud-based billing solution. In this way, the provider supports companies bringing in service-oriented business models. Because, for many sectors, the advance of digitization requires a paradigm shift. User-centered business models are attracting ever more attention; pay-as-you-use is all the rage, even in accounting. Instead of traditional billing applications developed in-house, flexible billing services are in demand, operated from the cloud and usable on demand.

Akamai: securely speed up web content

Availability and speed, those are two of the key factors for successful web service providers. Web shop operators, for example, can scarcely afford outages or latencies. Now they can use Akamai's content delivery services on the Open Telekom Cloud. These services speed up the response times of websites and cloud applications on computers and mobile devices. Akamai achieves this incredible performance thanks to optimized cloud networking, regardless of browser, location, device or network. Akamai thus creates performance advantages, underpins multi-channel shopping and provides end-to-end security. Up to 30 percent of all daily web traffic is already delivered by the over 230,000 Akamai servers, which are spread across 130 countries in over 1,600 networks. The advantage for users and web shop operators alike: they always get the most favorable server for them.
