Digital democracy: “I fell for it, too.”

David Schraven, journalist and founder of the “Correctiv” reporter team.

Fake news, agitation, and hate speech are the dark side of digital democracy. But on the other hand, the internet also creates new opportunities to help shape change: Online petitions and digital elections are making it easier to form political opinions and become politically active.

Opportunities and risks for digital democracy

How can we minimize the risks and seize the opportunities? Our current topical special, on the home page of our CR (Corporate Responsibility) report, addresses these issues. We clearly state Deutsche Telekom’s position and show how we are contributing to a solution.

Our topical special regularly covers current topics and links them with the in-depth information in the CR report. The topical special is also available in a simple language version (in German).
