Beethoven's unfinished

Unfortunately, Ludwig van Beethoven could never complete his 10th Symphony. At the time of his death, only a few sketches had been completed, but no part of the composition had been finished. On the occasion of the composer's 250th birthday in 2020, Deutsche Telekom dares to experiment: a team of international music scientists and AI experts will use artificial intelligence methods to create a possible version of the 10th Symphony.

The Artificial Intelligence ‚plays‘ its composition on a glasharmonica. About 11 seconds are original Beethoven.

The world premiere of the so-completed 10th symphony will take place on April 28, 2020 in the Telekom Forum in Bonn. It will be performed by the Beethoven Orchestra Bonn under the direction of general music director Dirk Kaftan. Artificial intelligence will complete Beethoven’s 10th Symphony
