Deutsche Telekom is present in Romania through Telekom Romania group of companies, as a shareholder in the Hellenic Telecommunications Organization (OTE), the largest telecommunications provider in the Greek market.

The T brand is present on the Romanian market since 2014 (after the joint rebranding of Romtelecom and COSMOTE Romania) through its two operators, Telekom Romania Communications and Telekom Romania Mobile Communications.

Telekom Romania offers complete, innovative, simplified and customized mobile and fixed communication services to a broad customer community, using approximately 10 million services.

Customers (end of 2017): over 500,000 customers for fixed-mobile integrated offers; 2.09 mln voice telephony users; 1.18 mln broadband subscribers; 1.47 mln TV subscribers; 4.7 mln mobile subscribers.

With over 80 years' expertise in the Romanian telecommunications market, Telekom Romania Communications S.A. (formerly Romtelecom) offers reliable, innovative and easy-to-use services including traditional fixed telephony, broadband Internet, TV services (satellite, IPTV and cable), customized bundles, entertainment services. On the B2B segment, Telekom Romania consolidated its position as one of the main B2B solutions integrators on the market, offering best value for money for integrated solutions covering all telecom and IT needs: fixed, mobile & cloud.

Telekom Romania Mobile Communications (formerly Cosmote Romania), which is part of the DT-owned COSMOTE Group, launched its commercial operations in December 2005 with the aim of making mobile telephony accessible to all.

Since 2002, another member of the Deutsche Telekom Group, Combridge, has also been offering ICT services on the Romanian market.
