Extensive program, major commitment

Deutsche Telekom has developed a comprehensive program to become an international leader in sustainability matters. The targets and activities defined therein are verified and adjusted on an ongoing basis.

Deutsche Telekom is working on setting new standards for sustainable conduct. A uniform strategy for developing and executing specific activities applies to the entire Telekom Group. Our primary focuses are improving connected life and work, providing access to the information and knowledge society, and new paths to a climate-friendly society.

Measuring success
The achievement of these goals is measured and steered throughout the Group using a series of standardized KPIs (key performance indicators). These KPIs supply specific reference values that serve as control instruments. They help steer the constant reduction of our CO2 emissions, for example.

International targets
Ongoing projects, current developments and international differences present a constant stream of challenges. The development and execution of uniform, Group-wide KPIs is a dynamic process in which adjustments have to be made again and again. Accordingly, the KPIs are reviewed and updated regularly.
